We all know that 2020 has been hard for many industries, but many small businesses across the board have really been hit hard by this storm.
And as many of us are now gearing up for Christmas, I wanted to share some of the independent equestrian businesses that I know of.
So, whether you’re looking to treat yourself, to buy a gift for a friend or family member, or you’re just browsing, here are 7 small equestrian businesses to have on your radar...

In the Country Magazine
In the Country is the perfect magazine for countryside lovers. Featuring everything from farming, fashion, food, and drink, to field sports and equestrian content, it really does tick all the boxes. Written and founded by Hollie-Ella, the magazine may be a one (wo)man band but you certainly can’t tell – it’s jam-packed with content, the photography is fantastic and the overall quality is so good it could rival many ‘bigger’ magazines.

Eqwine
Horses and wine combined? I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely sold! Eqwine is a fantastic Vancouver-based company set up by two friends, Alexis and Brae. They sell a range of clothing, adorned with their infamous equestrian and wine inspired slogans which are fantastic. Their rosé one has definitely caught my eye…

Feather and Fell
An equestrian and luxury country life inspired subscription box company. Sent out quarterly, each Feather and Fell box is filled with a handpicked range of country comforts and home decor, bath and beauty treats, both practical and pretty gifts, luxury edible treats and more.

Horseshoe Hearts
Run by a farrier and artist team, Horseshoe Hearts sell a range of gorgeous gifts made from (you guessed it) horseshoes. Including boot racks, candle holders, and hanging ornaments, their products are a great way of bringing a subtle equestrian element into your home.

Honest Riders
An earth friendly equestrian clothing brand with a fantastic range of clothing to pick from. The Honest Riders fantastic slogan range features a number of very relatable sayings, from “heels down” to “centre line”. They would be great for wearing at the yard, or out and about, as the horse link is subtle.

Hooves and Love
Hooves and Love is a beautiful horse inspired gift box company. With the option to build your own gift box or to buy one of the ready made ones available, they cater to a range of preferences and budgets.

Emily Cole Illustrations
Emily Cole Illustrations’ homeware and gift range will bring a bit of horsey inspired amusement to your home. Their amazing selection of horse cartoons will be sure to put a smile on your face, and I’m certain that there will be at least one from the collection that reminds you of a horse you know!
